Going to the market

*UPDATE* It appears that completing a set will give you 250 XP, 5,000 coins OR 5 tanks of fuel.

Well, what a day it is turning out to be! Town Hall is holding a relief effort for the crisis going on in Haiti and to do so, special White Corn is being given away for a donation. Bed & breakfasts, post offices, and grocery stores seem to have popped up on farms everywhere, the FarmVille Review is holding a peace theme this week, and new collections have appeared! All this and I had to spend the day farming away and planting new Durian trees.

The new collections are something interesting though. It seems that if I can collect all six of a given collection, I can trade them in for a special reward. I wonder what they could be? Speaking of special rewards, FarmVille gave me a little trophy to celebrate winning a competition! This week has simply been amazing and I do hope all of you get to enjoy all the new stuff! I also heard rumors of a new tractor being available to some lucky farmers. This Hot Rod Tractor appears to be able to plow 9 lots at a time!

Sorry about the lack of an entry yesterday. I’ve been so busy! Last night we hosted a good ol’ fashioned barn raising in order to increase the maximum storage of our barns. In my downtime this morning, whilst reading the FarmVille Review, I was awarded with a Level 3 Mastery in Peppers! We can’t quite make pie with those, but we’ll find a way to celebrate.

The almanac was updated this morning as well with the discovery of the new lop-eared bunny! It also turns out that the lime tree can no longer be gifted.

Bell Peppers!

I love Bell Peppers!

Can you guess who attained Level 3 Mastery of Bell Peppers today? Can you blame me? Look at the size of them! I can only imagine what my neighbors will say once they read the FarmVille Review this weekend!

As if that weren’t exciting enough, a beautiful brown calf was born to us this morning, I received a free shipment of two fuel tanks, and I received a blue ribbon for “King of the Plow”. What a wonderful day this has been! The wife is jumping for joy and baking the rest of our pumpkins and raspberries into a delicious desert for tonight’s supper.

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings us!

This morning I woke up to milk the cows. Betsy was stubborn (as usual) but I managed to calm her and get the milk we need for the day. The raspberries ripened quickly and I gobbled up a handful on my way to the farmhouse.

I received a letter today from the FarmVille Review. Turns out that my pumpkins are a big hit and they’ve awarded me with a red ribbon for both Vegetable Virtuoso and Foremost Fruit Farmer! The wife is elated and we’ll be celebrating tonight with raspberry and pumpkin pies!
